One of Britain’s greatest Paralympic athletes, Tanni amassed a remarkable medal haul of 11 gold, 4 silver and one bronze over five Paralympic Games. Since retiring from racing in 2007, she has taken on a number of advisory roles and is a Crossbench Peer at the House of Lords and a Board Member of Transport for London, the London Legacy Development Corporation and the BBC. She is also a Board Member of the London Marathon, the Sportsaid Foundation, and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
Jo was CEO of London First for 13 years, stepping down in November 2016, and she has been a member of the House of Lords since 2005. Jo is also Chair of Heathrow Southern Railway, a Non-Executive Director of HS2 Ltd and Special Projects Director at Business in the Community, Blackpool. She has also been a member of University College London Council and a Board member of HS2 since 2014.
Ruby McGregor-Smith is a Chartered Accountant who qualified with BDO and started her career in outsourcing at Serco Group plc where she held a number of senior financial and commercial roles. Ruby was Chief Executive of Mitie Group from 2007-2016, having joined the business as Group Financial Director in 2002 and she then became Chief Operating Officer in 2005. She now has a portfolio career and her roles include those at the Department of Education and a Non-Executive Director and an Advisory Board member at the University of Bath. She was awarded a life peerage in 2015 and is a member of the EU Markets Committee at the House of Lords and a member of the Women’s Business Council, having chaired the Council between 2012 and 2016. She was awarded a CBE in 2012 for services to business and diversity in business. The McGregor-Smith Review on Race in the Workplace, commissioned by the UK Government, was published in 2017.
Ben was CEO of Mothercare plc between 2002 and 2011, and more recently was a Non-Executive Director at Britvic plc and at St. Ives plc. Other previous appointments include Senior VP and Managing Director at Disney Store Europe & Asia Pacific, and senior management positions within WH Smith and L'Oréal.
Bob is an award-winning business leader and entrepreneur former chief executive of Wood Group, he has led transformational change in several businesses and focusses on leadership, core values and communication as the drivers of culture. He is an experienced dealmaker and team builder. He has successfully chaired many business organizations including Scottish Enterprise, Oil and Gas UK and Entrepreneurial Scotland.
Former corporate finance partner at KPMG and CEO of Baillie Gifford Life Ltd and Baillie Gifford & Co Ltd, Chris is now Non-Executive Director of Invesco Perpetual UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc and a board member of The Association of Investment Companies. He mentors private companies based in Scotland, and actively seeks to improve access to capital for early stage companies, via his work with ICAS. He is a trustee of the National Museums of Scotland.
Craig Donaldson is the CEO of Metro Bank, a role he has held since the bank’s inception in 2009, growing it from 4 colleagues to over 3,000 and into the Most Trusted Financial Provider in 2016 & 2017, with over a million customers. Craig was named the ‘Most People Focused CEO of the Year’ at the HR Excellence Awards and ‘Retail Banker of the Year’ at the Retail Banker International Awards in 2017 and was rated by Glassdoor as the ‘Most Highly Rated CEO in the UK’ in 2016.
Crawford is Chairman at Edrington and a Non-Executive Director at Barclays Bank plc where he chairs the remuneration committee. Previously, he was Senior Independent Director at SSE plc from 2015-2020, and was Chairman of Scottish Enterprise from 2009-2015 and Control Risks from 2007-2017.
An inspirational sportsperson, Katherine is Britain’s most successful female rower. A six-times world champion, four-times Olympic silver medallist and gold medallist at the London 2012 Olympic Games. She was appointed Chair of UK Sport in April 2017 following her retirement from performance sport.
Dame Louise Makin, MA, PhD (Cantab), MBA, DBE, joined BTG as Chief Executive Officer in October 2004. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Intertek Group plc and the Woodford Patient Capital Trust, a Trustee of the Outward Bound Trust, Chair of the 1851 Trust and an Honorary Fellow of St. John’s College, Cambridge. Previous appointments include President, Biopharmaceuticals Europe at Baxter Healthcare and Director of Global Ceramics at English China Clay. Louise is also a member of the 30% Club.

She was Chairman of Telefónica in Ireland until 2012, having previously been its Chief Executive from 2001 to 2010.
