David is an experienced chair and is currently the executive chair at Esken and chair at the Scottish EDGE Fund. He is also former chair at Abrdn New Dawn Investment Trust plc and Liberty Living. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Speedy Hire plc and Mithras Investment Trust plc. David is also a Partner in Buchanan Shearer Associates LLP, an advisory business specialising in turnaround and restructuring and previously Senior Independent Director of STV Group plc, Chairman of Mouchel Group plc and co-Chairman of Martin Currie (Holdings) Limited.
