Martin Gilbert was Founder shareholder of Aberdeen Asset Management, retiring from the business in 2020 from his role as Chair of Aberdeen Standard Investments, having merged with Standard Life in 2017. Today he holds a range of chair positions including Chair of AssetCo plc, Revolut, Net Zero Technology Centre, and Scottish Golf. Previously he was also Deputy Chair of Sky plc and FirstGroup plc and the Prudential Regulation Authority's Practictioner Panel and a Non-Executive Director of Glencore plc.
