Nels Abbey - British Writer & Diversity Consultant

School for CEOs prepare business leaders for senior roles - purposefully, pragmatically and personally. We do this by discussing the unique insights of our Faculty of 100 senior leaders at our programmes, who share their personal experiences and challenges as CEOs, Non-Executive Directors and Chairs.

This podcast is designed to share some of those stories with you, inviting a diverse range of speakers from CEOs of some of the UK's most successful businesses, to elite sportspeople, military leaders and more.

Here we share our 23rd episode, featuring Nels Abbey, accomplished British writer, media executive, satirist and diversity consultant.

Born in London to Nigerian parents, Nels talks us through his perhaps unconventional upbringing and his career as well as his views on diversity in the workplace. In particular, we discuss his personal approach and use of humour to confront the realities of racial discrimination at work, as well as his perspective on how we as a society can overcome barriers to racial equality.

You can also listen to the podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and others.

Nels authored the book Think Like A White Man, which we discuss in the podcast. If you would like to purchase it, you can learn more about it here. or buy it on Amazon.
