Previously he was Chairman of Tesco plc, a post he held for over six years, Kwik-Fit Group ltd, the Senior Non-Executive Director at Reed Elsevier Group plc, and Non-Executive Director at Greenalls Group plc (now De Vere Group), Legal & General Group plc and Westbury plc.
