Samantha Barber - International Non-Executive Director

School for CEOs prepare business leaders for senior roles - purposefully, pragmatically and personally. We do this by discussing the unique insights of our Faculty of 100 senior leaders at our programmes, who share their personal experiences and challenges as CEOs, Non-Executive Directors and Chairs.

This podcast is designed to share some of those stories with you, inviting a diverse range of speakers from CEOs of some of the UK's most successful businesses, to elite sportspeople, military leaders and more.

Here we share our 24th episode, featuring Samantha Barber, seasoned Executive and Non-Executive Director.

Samantha Barber has extensive leadership experience both in  the UK and Internationally. After a successful early career in Brussels where she worked as a policy advisor, she first became a Chief Executive at the age of 30. Today she is a Non-Executive Director and mentor and she sits on the Boards of global energy company Iberdrola and Scottish Water, and she chairs the internationally renowned Scottish Ensemble. In this episode, Samantha reflects on her first CEO role, how she has shaped her non-executive career, her views on gender diversity and meritocracy and how multilingualism influences her leadership.
