Chair at Imes Group
Melfort is Chairman of Imes Group, the Scottish Government's Oil and Gas Advisory Board, Co-Chair of the Innovation Scotland Forum and on the Technology Leadership Board. In addition, he chaired the Scottish Expert Commission on Oil and Gas, is a visiting Professor of Engineering at Strathclyde University, and has been appointed Honorary Colonel of the Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry. Previous appointments include Chairman of Board of Governors of RGU and Chairman of Scottish Enterprise Grampian. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh
