Leadership Series

The Leadership Series gives senior business executives the opportunity to focus on key performance and leadership topics. The School for CEOs has developed the Series to address major themes emerging from our existing programmes and research, enabling senior business leaders to tackle specific areas which help determine their success.

The Leadership Series is available as an in-house corporate programme or as a consortia programme for delegates from multiple organisations. Both can be tailored to the client organisation’s needs.

The modular programmes, outlined below, are delivered by the School for CEOs team along with leading expert practitioners where appropriate. The Series is linked to the Dimensions model and is designed in the same way as open programmes Vital Few and Runway, with the focus on practical lessons and insight for immediate use.

The Series consists of ½ day modules addressing complementary topics, including:

The Coaching Leader - Introduction to coaching models; facilitative and directive coaching; performance and interference; active listening; questioning; creating the right environment to coach; building rapport; problem structures.

Tackling Performance & Crucial Conversations - The Relationship Model; creating a performance based culture; feedback models for tough conversations; creating and leading the High Performing Team; unconscious bias and building diverse teams.

Developing Great Networks - The 3 types of network; auditing your network; building strong networks; your personal brand and making a great first impression; networking events; leveraging social media.

Leading Resilient Organisations – Neuroscience and psychology as it relates to building resourcefulness and resilience; methodologies to build personal resilience; adapting to change; developing personal and organisational purpose; horizon scanning.

Influencing in 5 Dimensions – Understanding the stakeholder landscape; the different influencing styles; influencing without authority; adapting and flexing approaches appropriately; using IQ, EQ, CQ and PQ effectively; managing relationships on 5 dimensions.

Presentation and Media skills - Core presentation skills including constructing and giving great presentations; key attributes that ‘make or break’ presentations; interacting with the media including newspapers and journals, radio and television.
