Third School for CEOs programme scores very highly

The delegates attending the third two-day residential Vital Few programme this month have given the programme very high evaluation scores. The programme was run by the School for CEOs, where aspiring and current CEOs learn from experienced business leaders. Co-Founder of the School, Patrick Macdonald, Chairman of Reconomy, CEO of Dalestone Energy and former Chief Executive of John Menzies plc, said “It’s very good to see the School’s track record of strong evaluations continuing in this way.”

The delegates came from a range of businesses including quoted FTSE firms, privately held companies and entrepreneurial startups. The School for CEOs Foundation awarded a scholarship to the Chief Executive of a leading missing persons charity.

The third programme was taught by an array of accomplished businesspeople. The School’s Faculty is listed at In addition, Floyd Woodrow, elite leadership coach and one of the youngest-ever members of the Special Air Service, spoke at the delegate dinner about the importance of resilience and taking good decisions under pressure.

Each delegate will also receive a one-on-one coaching session to help embed and integrate the learnings from the programme.

Like the previous programme, held in May 2013, the October programme was valued highly by the delegates. The speakers were given an overall score of 87%. The individual programme sessions averaged 86% while, overall, programme content achieved 95%. Communications with the School were rated at 97% while the venue scored 86%. Overall, the programme scored an 87% ‘excellent’ rating and a Net Promoter Score of +72.

The delegates also commented on the programme:

Naturally, the delegates also suggested some areas for potential improvement including more interactivity.
