Successful businessmen and businesswomen line up to support School for CEOs
10 February 2012
The School for CEOs, a brand new concept in senior executive education, has attracted support from several successful business leaders. “The idea is that this School, which prepares senior business leaders for the top job, will be led and taught by practitioners – people who are senior business leaders themselves rather than academics. I’m really excited by the quality of the Faculty and Advisory Board who are supporting the School” says David Sole, well-known business coach and former international rugby captain, a co-Founder of the School which launches in London in autumn 2012.
Some of the names working with David and his co-Founder Patrick Macdonald – Chairman of Reconomy and former CEO of John Menzies plc – include
- Sir David Reid, Chairman of Intertek plc and former Chairman of Tesco plc
- Jonathan Warburton, Executive Chairman of Warburton Limited
- Carol Leonard, Partner at leading executive search firm Inzito LLP
- Crawford Gillies, Non-Executive Director of Standard Life plc and former Head of Bain Europe
- Rosemary McGinness, Group HR Director of William Grant Limited
- Alex Wilson, former Group HR Director at BT plc.
“It’s tremendous to get support from such a distinguished group of business leaders” says Patrick. “The quality of our Faculty and delegates is going to make for a fantastic programme this summer. You can imagine how exciting the lessons and discussions are going to be! This is a great opportunity for delegates to learn from and exchange ideas with the very best in the business”.
The School for CEOs launches in London in autumn 2012 with a 2-day programme taught by practitioners – current and former business leaders – rather than academics. The programme is aimed at business leaders who are aiming to secure a CEO position, leaders who are preparing to take up a CEO position, and existing CEOs who would like to broaden and deepen their ‘toolbox’.
