School for CEOs launches Coaching Panel

1 January 2013

Coaching is integral to School for CEOs programmes. “We have always been keen to ensure that programme learnings endure. We don’t want these to be programmes that delegates attend, find useful and then find hard to put into practice when they return to the day-to-day priorities the following week” says David Sole, well-known business coach and former international rugby captain, a co-Founder of the School.

With this in mind, over 2013 the School for CEOs will be developing a hand-picked Panel of coaches. The Coaching Panel will deliver coaching on School for CEO programmes as well as other coaching programmes under the School for CEOs banner. These will include ‘standard’ executive coaching, onboarding and career transition coaching.

David Sole will lead this exciting initiative. As part of this process, he incorporated his existing coaching practice into the School for CEOs at the start of the year.

Co-Founder Patrick Macdonald, Chairman of Reconomy, former CEO of John Menzies plc, said “The Coaching Panel is great news, underpinning the delivery of our existing programmes and giving us further ways to support aspiring and current CEOs. The hand-picked coaches will be of the very highest quality and build upon the success and reputation of the School.”

Notes for editors: The School for CEOs is a new concept in senior executive education. It was founded by Patrick Macdonald, Chairman of Reconomy and former CEO of John Menzies plc, and David Sole, business coach and former international rugby captain, in 2011. The next programme will take place in central London on 1/2 May 2013. The 2-day residential programme will be taught by practitioners: current and former business leaders. It aims to provide senior businessmen and women with the awareness, insight and tools they need to become and remain successful CEOs.
