Faculty News from the School for CEOs
The School for CEOs works closely with a number of experienced business people to design and deliver our leadership programmes. Here is a snippet of what some of them were up to last week:
- Andy Higginson, having recently stepped into the role of Chairman at Morrisons plc, has been named Number 3 in the Business Insider’s Power 100 for the Yorkshire region. He now has the task of appointing a new Chief Executive. As speculation continues about who may be in contention for the top job, some of our Faculty members and Alumni have been named as frontrunners
- Transport for London have been seeking advice from Faculty member and former CEO of Land Securities, Francis Salway, as they prepare to develop property in a bid to raise £1billion of funding for the capital’s transport system
- Meanwhile, Double-Olympic Gold medallist, Shirley Robertson has been put through her paces in the Extreme Environments Lab in Newcastle as she experienced the survival training of elite sailors preparing for the most gruelling of open sea races, the Volvo Ocean Race.
